ARTE l So Long, Sushi!

Director of Photography

If you love sushi or poke bowls, don’t watch this report. Dye-based pollution, antibiotics, and lice swarming over fish crammed into underwater cages… Scotland’s salmon industry—the pride of its economy—has devastating effects on marine ecosystems.

This short documentary focuses on the collective Cooking Sections, who work with the local community on the Isle of Skye to find alternatives to industrial fish farming through art, architecture, gastronomy, and science—imagining a society that doesn’t rely on food extractivism and that adapts to different geographies.
